My name is Jim Baker. Last year I retired from Chemistry teaching after 38 years. I recently bought some shave gel and noticed it said "Paraben Free". On arriving home I looked up "Parabens" and searched through our toiletry cupboard and noticed all products contained either parabens, SLS, petrochemicals or phthalates. After looking at the possible effects of these "nasties", my wife and I did some research on where to purchase products free from parabens, SLS, petrochemicals and phthalates. We found quite a few companies offering products free from these "nasties" but only your company "Naked" offered these products at a fair price - congratulations. Earlier this month I was asked into my old school to give some talks on Science to the 6th form in General Studies lessons. I decided to give talks on issues like "the dangers of fluoride" and of "nasties" in toiletries. At the end of the talks the girls in the groups immediately checked their creams and lotions and all found them to contain parabens.I have since emailed the Head of General Studies (who invited me in to do the talks) recommending your products as "free of nasties" and asking her to tell students of your products when they ask where they can obtain "nasties free" products.I have also put a link to you on the "General Links" page of my website (Jim Baker's Online Learning) http://www.jimbakersonlinelearning.co.uk

Like many other posts I am a sufferer of all sorts of skin complaints since I was a toddler. Clear new skin!
I have suffered from one skin complaint or another my whole life! Until someone told me I might be allergic to SLSs... My life has not been the same since! The road to recovery for my skin was not an easy one, its nearly impossible to find affordable products that don't contain SLS. But then I found Naked!! I love every thing you do! There is now, thanks to you, nothing in my bathroom cupboard containing SLS. I just wanted to thank you for my beautiful clear new skin! Now if only I could find a way to get out of doing the washing up...Thank you!

I just wanted to say a huge thankyou for your new Naked Smooth silky shampoo and conditioner....they are just fabulous. I first came across your products about a year ago and loved the fact they are packed full of natural things and are so resonably priced, however I was really disappointed that none of your shampoo's really suited my hair type. I picked up your smooth silky shampoo last month and was thrilled with it...it is by far the best naturally-based shampoo I've ever tried. Since then I've been trying out the rose body wash and the glossing hair treatment....both amazing products!!

I am Dilini and have been regularly using your products especially the "Naked Rescue Intensive Repair & Renew Hair Treatment". When I arrived from Sri Lanka last september I started to lose hair. I had a lot of hair and I lost almost half of the amount. I got worried, and even went to my GP who gave me ion vitamins to take, but it didn't work out. My bathroom drainage and my comb collected so much of my broken hair. Then my husband bought me this shampoo from the Body Shop for £8 but it didn't work at all. One day, we went to Boots and decided to try Naked Rescue Treatment (there was a deal, buy 2 for £10, instead of £7.80 each).
The thing worked quasi instantaneously! No problem at all. We were relieved to be honest. It drastically slow down my hair loss. We now use other products such as the shampoos and conditioners and are very happy.

I purchased the Shampoo and Conditioner checked out their website and now I have nearly everything they sell, by only using the shower gel my skin has become so soft and smooth I can''t beleive it. Hi all you great people at Naked. For many years I thought I had a skin ''condition'', (although never was tested for anything) as my skin was flaky and had itchy patches which would flare up, and I would literally scratch them until I bled. I saw an advertisement for, I have to say, a rival of yours (who cost far too much) and read all about SLS and such like. I had a lightbulb moment and thought perhaps its not been my skin thats the problem its the rubbish I''m cleaning it in every day. Then I went into Boots and discovered Naked. I thought I would try it for a month and see what happened... No more scaly, itchy skin, and not having to buy the incredibly expensive skin cream I had to resort to for the itchiness to subside. I cleared all my cupboards out of the bad stuff last weekend, and will only be buying your excellent products from now on. Still haven''t got used to getting out of the bath and my skin not begging to be scratched, and in a way, I hope I never do, as its a great feeling. Hello Guys, Wow!!!! this stuff is WICKED!!!! I got given a bottle of BE SOFT NAKED STARFLOWER HAND AND BODY LOTION for my Birthday in Feb this year, and as soon a i used it i LOVE IT...............So much so when it ran out i asked my friend where did she buy it....Once i found it in Boots(after searching for awhile) i took ever bottle they had on the shelf(which was 6!!!!!)
I love it SO much, the smell is FANTASTIC and the feel is SO smooth...

I only just noticed Naked shampoo in Boots yesterday, but believe me, I am SO happy! I switched to SLS-free stuff in January and it made a massive difference to the condition of my hair but the only other way I could find SLS-free shampoo was over the internet and it was rather more expensive... I felt so strongly about your latest new products that I just gotta write! For many years I have been an ethical consumer - completely against animal testing - what's the point of such cruelty, and I have also run two exceptionally busy Acupuncture practices ( for over 16 years!), so I am always passing on good, cruelty free, natural and parabens free toiletries info to my patients - I want them all to be fabulously healthy and firmly believe that what we put on our hair and bodies matters - a lot! In fact, i may well be responsible to a signicant degree, of a lot of your Derbyshire based sales - I recommend your products to a lot of people, especially to women who have had or want to avoid, breast cancer (the parabens link). So, as a very, very, busy Acupuncturist, I have been singing your praises to many many patients ever since you first came out (on the shelves that is!!). I love your hair care, shower gels et al, but, as a woman with naturally very curly hair (like its owner, it has a mind of its own!), I lamented that i could not find green, cruelty free, parabens free etc hair styling products, especially to tame my wayward locks, - it is nice to have the option to look groomed and professional! So, can you imagine my delight, when, upon my routine check of your website, to see what you guys are up to, I find that .... yes.... at last,... without me having to ask you.... Curly hair styling products and serum! Thank you a million times, I do now believe that as well as being incredibly creative, you are also telepathic - as I have intended to write to ask for these products so often, but busyness prevented me from doing so. I am writing this email to tell you how much i love your coco de mer shower gel! I have just been on a study visit to Germany and took the shower gel with me... my entire dorm used it!!!! It has one of the most gorgeous scents I have ever smelt and people comment on how gorgeous i smell all day!!! I have written a little poem to tell you what I think of your range!

Everything I've tried smells divine
Just to let you know how much I love your products, everything I have tried smells divine – I want to eat the Sugar Maple face mask it smells so lovely! And the Starflower bath soak also has a gorgeous scent. And all your products actually work, as well as looking and smelling fabulous which is a very refreshing change, compared to some other brands. It’s nice to know that there are products available that don’t cost the earth, are almost 100% natural and also don’t test on animals. Thanks for some great products

Best natural haircare I've ever used
Hello Naked Body Care Team,I just wanted to say that I have for the first time used your shampoo and conditioner (the sensitive mildness adorned one) and think it is the best natural shampoo and conditioner I have ever used! It smells divine!
What was even better that it was buy one, get one cheapest free in Boots, so I think I will have to go back and stock on some more of your other products if they are as good as the shampoos!
It is great that totally natural products likes yours are now more widely available, I have previously had trouble finding totally natural stuff in places like Boots. I have changed virtually all my products now to natural as I have eczema and my homeopath recommended it would be best to swop to paraben free, totally natural products. I often have found some stuff very expensive, but another big plus about yours is that it that price is very affordable!
Anyway, I just wanted to comment as people are always the first the complain about stuff, so I wanted to say how great and impressed I am with your products and that I will be recommending them to my friends and family!!

Best I've ever tried in any range
I have recently discovered your wonderful range of products. I just wondered why you do not yet make a face cream, either a day or night cream. Naked Discovery
I just want to tell you how relieved I am to discover your products……they are the only ones that leave my unruly hair non-frizzy and the only ones that don’t leave me with an itchy scalp. I have yet to splash out on skincare products as it’s all quite expensive and my skin isn’t as problematic as the hair.What I wanted to ask is – do you market your products? I’ve never seen a single ad and only stumbled across them while desperately searching the shelves in Boots for inspiration. They’re such fantastic products, being both natural and effective, that they should be flying off the shelves (maybe they are already). I just had to e-mail to say a BIG "THANK YOU!" i stumbled across your shampoo's & conditioners in Boots one day and have been well & truely hooked ever since! Detox was just what my hair was looking for. Leaving it clean, soft & super shiny from the first use, without the use of all those other chemicals!After a quick look on your web-site, the next mission was to discover the rest of your range (set aside a good half an hour in the biggest Boots i could find!!) The Coco De Mer range is just gorgeous, it's great to find a body butter that does actually leave your skin feeling soft for 24 hours & believe me i've tried loads in the past! I also love the Take Care Orange Blossom body wash, such a lovely scent! (will there be a body butter to follow?!)

HEAVEN SENT ME NAKED
Heaven sent me Naked. I came back from the states this Christmas with some lovely shampoo free from SLS, and some shaving lotion without parabens. I spent weeks looking for just one brand over here with the same ethics, to no avail. Then one day I wondered into boots and found a new display set up. Naked! Thank you so much, not only are they everything I''d hoped for chemically and ethically, everything works brilliantly and smells fabulous!! No more irritation!
For a while I have suffered from skin irritation after washing or bathing and, after reading a report about SLS and parabens I thought this might be the source of my problems. I found your products in Boots and tried the starflower bodywash and for the first time in years I did not have dry skin and itchiness after showering. Consequently I raided my local Boots store and stocked up on bodywash, shampoo and conditiner, handwash, bath foam and manuka honey handwash. as a very mature lady (pensioner) I find my skin is now soft, my hair soft and silky and the skin on my hands is now lovely and soft and as a bonus I smell wonderful too. VERY GOOD
I have had a very itchy scalp at the back of my neck for more than 3 years,(it started after using medicated shampoo) the doctors have tried various lotions etc, but nothing really worked. My hairdresser said one of her other ladies had tried Naked Shine Shampoo, and conditioner and her itch had gone. It worked -after 3 years my scalp is fine, and I have hardly any hair on my brush whereas before it was falling out a lot. Thank you for a great product.

I love your products!
I am in the first stages of exploring more natural products & have spent the last few weeks tinkering with Ojon shampoo (which made my hair look & feel truly awful) & various Burts Bees products (which are nice but expensive & my husband hates the smells!) He’s really very loving but said I smelled like a tramp’s bottom.
My Mum commented my hair had lost it’s shine so I picked up some of your shine shampoo & conditioner in Boots & my hair felt squeaky clean & soft on first use. I ordered more products from your site & I’m thoroughly enjoying testing them out.
Ginger bodywash – used it this morning for the first time & it’s a hit! It is so zingy (if that’s a word) refreshing & moisturising without feeling greasy. Compared with normal shower gels it feels like you’re adding moisture not stripping it from your skin.
Rose face wash – astounding – used it to take my make up off last night. I didn’t need eye make up remover, my face felt marvelously soft & clean & it left me with healthy rosy pink cheeks (my usual expensive Chanel facewash leaves me with red blotches)
Cocoa butter cream – really easily absorbed & I’ve actually used it as a face cream today & my skin feels great. I normally use eye cream & face moisturizers but this does the trick & my skin is still moisturized & soft at 7pm.
Honey hand lotion – smell is quite strong & it takes a while to rub in but you can actually feel it resisting water when you wash your hands. I’ve had my parent’s dogs on loan for the last 3 days so have washed my hands constantly & they’re not in bits like they normally would be (my hands not the dogs).
Orange Hand Wash – again smells quite strong but similar to the bodywash you can feel oils moisturizing when you wash – I love it.
Candle & t-shirt both lovely. Candle burning in my home office today & I’ve managed not to shout at anybody so must be doing the trick!!
I’ve saved the best till last – the little sachet of rescue hair treatment – AMAZING. I cannot believe the effect it had on my hair. I have naturally wavy thick coarse hair – my natural state as a child was cave girl hair. My whole adult life I’ve endured products (& hairdressers) trying to smoothe, flatten, weigh down & generally tame it. No more – I’m 34 next week, not as quick to conform anymore & I actually like BIG hair!! This product took 20 years off my hair. It’s soft, shiny, thick, healthy & wavy again!! Sorry this is such a long e-mail but I’m so impressed. My husband & I both have psoriasis & eczema in varying degrees depending on stress levels, his is worse & for ages I’ve been convinced he needs to go natural & the shampoo is working a treat for him.
Finally, you’ve inspired me to look at all my cosmetics & think greener, healthier & safer, so thanks – the whole thing so far is a pleasure & an inspiration. Sorry for the long ramble & keep up the good work.

Even though my budget doesnt really reach what they cost, I was fed up with the ordinary shampoos even good named brands too, as they were not doing the job that they said on the bottle! However, I gave Naked a go, and have never looked back! From the first use of shampoo and conditioner my hair felt and looked so healthy, it was glossy, which it hadn't been since I was a teen and I am 53 now, but still like to have nice hair and wear makeup etc. Hence, I have never looked back! I thought I would insert a photo as on one of the sites I chat on, someone asked me what shampoo I used, and of course I told them!
Thankyou for producing this product, I have read the story, it was a normal everyday woman like myself that had children with problems concerning their scalp I believe, and she set out to find the perfect shampoo etc for people with similar problems, and I am so proud of her to have fulfilled such a huge task, well done! "

Guilt Free Gorgeousness!
"I am totally hooked on almost everything I''ve tried from the Naked range; partiularly the cocoa butter moisturiser and the Coco de Mer bath foam. I''ve just bought the detox shampoo and am trying it today for the first time, having been won over by the Shine and Colour shampoos. I do have a sensitivity to certain synthetic perfumes, so tend not to try products I am not familiar with. But I don''t have to worry with the Naked range which is great!

A Happy Naked Convert
I received my order yesterday, really quickly, having had some brilliant
help and advice from you by phone. I just wanted to let you know how
delighted with the products I am. The rose face wash has soothed my
skin after just two uses to the extent that the pimply rash from which I
have suffered for over a year has now all but vanished. The hand lotion
does not inflame my eczema and smells absolutely gorgeous and the sachet
of hair treatment has worked nicely too. I have ridiculously thick hair
and tend to buy "smoothing" conditioners to flatten it. Your product
makes my hair soft and frizz-free but without flattening it down and,
more importantly, does not give me an itchy scalp and neck (ugh) like
other products. I intend to buy a tub of this when I am feeling a bit
more flush!
I loved the packaging, it was very stylish and a bit gift-like with all
the tissue paper, but I would be interested to know if it is possible to
send orders with less packaging, in the interests of the environment?
Also, when I spoke to someone on the 'phone before placing my order, I
asked after facial moisturisers. The woman to whom I spoke said that
there were plans to launch some next year. This cannot come soon enough
for me as I still need to use some moisturiser after washing my face and
am currently using Simple which is not nearly as nice as Naked and a bit
full of parabens etc despite the marketing. Can I enquire after/
suggest some Manuka Honey moisturiser for the gorgeous smell and
antibacterial properties which I imagine would benefit bizarrely spot
prone and dry skin such as mine?

I have found it really hard to find things that don't react with my
sensitive skin and making it all red and blotchy.

Many many thanks for your fantastic customer service. The Cocoa Butter arrived the next day. Can I also just say how impressed both Lynne & I are with the Rose Facial Wash - it's excellent.
I have now got both my daughters (& some of their friends) using your products - shampoos, hand cream, shower wash, face wash etc etc & we are all really delighted with them.

Big Fan
Hi Naked,I discovered your skin and hair care products in Boots at Christmas time and I have to say I absolutely love them! I have used natural/organic products for a few years now and I can't tell you how happy I am to see natural products on the high street and not have to order on line and at such great prices too!
My favourite products are your shampoo and conditioners. They were such a lovely surprise, as other products I have tried don't quite live up to conventional chemical based products but yours definitely do. I also love your body washes and bubble bath products to. Most bubble baths do not agree with my sensitive skin but I have had no problems with yours.
As you can tell I'm a big fan and look forward to seeing more products in future! I would love it if you developed a hair styling range too as I'm always keen to stay away from chemical based products and with my frizzy curly hair it's not easy.
I hope other people can learn the beauty of natural products. Keep up the good work.

Just Wanted To Say .....
Hi everyone at Naked.Just wanted to say a big thank you, as a student it is often difficult to afford natural products and i've been trying to find an affordable natural range of products for a while and now i finally found one! I love your products and think it is fantastic that someone has finally caught up to the fact that we should be taking care of our skin using natural ingredients instead of man-made!
Due to learning about parabens & petrochemicals etc i have began reading the labels on everything i buy and due to the mass amounts of brands that use such ingredients i have cut down on body creams, face creams and the amount of make up i wear, barely touching any kind of foundation! I was even stunned to learn the Body Shop use 4 or 5 different parabens in their body lotions alone!
I was just wondering if you had any plans to branch into make up products as a lot of brands never put the ingredients on their products, which makes you wonder what exactly is in them.

Manuka Honey Protective Hand Lotion
Just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the Manuka Honey Hand Lotion. I’ve been suffering with eczema on my hands for about 4 years now and even steroid creams from the doctor haven’t had as good an effect as your hand cream. It helps to keep it at bay in the first place but, if I do get a flare up come up overnight (especially recently with the hot weather) it calms and sooths beautifully, stopping the flare up in its tracks before it starts cracking/bleeding etc. This is a miserable condition that can be really depressing so it means a lot to me to have a product that I can rely on. THANK GOODNESS you have created this Naked range. I've been looking for an affordable range without SLS and petrochemicals for years!!! I can now finally use a handwash without my hands drying out and cracking and being red and itchy and sore. Just been to Boots today to buy the whole range, and it's bliss washing my hands now, especially as i have a small baby and my hands in water alot!!!Michelle Jones
