September is the season for Fashion. Magazines publish their biggest issues whilst all the top editors don their skyscraper heels and board flights to London, New York, Paris and Milan to preview the big looks for next year.  All this excitement brought the inner fashionista out in us and we couldn’t miss being a part of the buzz!

Being an eco conscious company ourselves we love to support likeminded brands with the same ‘naked’ ethos and values that we build our brand by. It’s not always easy to be cool and natural, especially in the fast moving fashion world, but cute, quirky, loveable ethical clothing brand Annie Greenabelle manage it just nicely, thank you very much.

The brand works with predominantly organic and Fairtrade certified cotton. Organic cotton is grown without chemical pesticides, defoliants or fertilisers it is now farmed in over 22 countries in the world, including many developing countries. There are already 25,000 organic cotton farmers in Africa. By farming organically, cotton farmers use viable alternatives to pesticides to protect their health.The Annie Greenabelle design team then take the cotton and mix it up with reclaimed fabrics that add variety (meaning there are never many of the same items around, so you get an almost one off piece!) . We like to think of it as the high-street becoming haute-couture, minus the price tag but with the added warm fuzzy feeling that you are consciously choosing an ethical fashion fix.
