Too Hot To Handle

National curry week runs from the 21st-27th of November and can often result in many hot mouths, spluttering and water gulping (although milk or yogurt is actually better). The official appreciation begun in 1998 in order to promote the cuisine and to raise funds for charities concentrating on hunger, malnourishment and poverty.

During the week curry consumption of your favourite korma, pasanda or vindaloo (go on we dare you) is a must, it’s a great excuse to try a new dish and sample a different culture at your local restaurant, deli or takeaway.

The popular Poppadum Tower Challenge is always a favourite restaurant game over the week and one to recreate at the dinner table, however there are strict rules! The Tower must be on a plate or similar no bigger than 10” in diameter and be completely unsupported for at least 10 seconds, poppadoms must also be cooked and not half eaten...

The official Guinness record stands at 1.48m!

To celebrate National Curry Week we have linked up with Rachel’s Organic, visit our facebook page at www.facebook.com/NaturalBodycare to see how you can WIN Jamie Oliver’s new 30 minute meal book and Rachel’s Organic goodies. Nothing beats their natural yogurt to cool your mouth down after a spicy curry!
