Lovely bunch of coconuts

Think coconuts and beauty applications probably won’t spring to mind. But, coconuts aren’t just for fairground games or cooking—they can be beauty boosters in their own right, and if you can get your hands on a lovely bunch of coconuts (or their processed equivalent—it’s easier that way) you could soon experience the benefits.
Let’s start by looking at your hair. People across the globe utilise coconut oil for the follicular benefits—in Singapore humidity levels are around 90% so to reduce frizz women coat the ends of their hair in coconut oil before bed, whilst in India they massage it into the scalp once a week to strengthen, increase shine, promote hair growth and reduce split ends.
It can be great for your skin too. Coconut oil makes the perfect all-over body moisturiser (apply it after your morning shower and reapply as necessary throughout the day), and if you mix it with baking soda it makes a quick and effective face scrub to keep skin soft and smooth. It’s great for hydrating the skin and can prevent dryness and flakiness, and because it’s so easily absorbed it penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin for added benefit.
It can be ideal for a whole range of more pressing beauty concerns too, treating everything from eczema and psoriasis to acne and cracked lips, with it being a great (and tasty) lip balm and even working well as an eye makeup remover. It’s got anti-aging properties too thanks to its antioxidant levels so can be the perfect way to keep sagging skin, wrinkles and crow’s feet at bay, so what are you waiting for? With so many beneficial properties you should add coconut oil to your beauty regime ASAP and you’ll soon have a solution for your every beauty problem.
