To tan or not to tan

Today I am sat at the home of a bride and groom to be, its boxing day and today they will be tying the not! What a fantastic day to choose a wedding, a real treat after the sometimes frustrating and slightly boring Christmas Day.

Obviously its a winter wedding and I have been considering whether to tan. No I know for a fact some of the attendants to the wedding will be completely gorgeous and stunning, with full tan, but being a pale natural beauty (ahem) I wondered whether to tan. Although its widely accepted, does it look at bit odd in the depths of winter?

Funnily enough so many people tan now that no one ever thinks you've been away to a tropical island, where as years ago they may have asked whether you have been away on holiday. Not any more, they are more likely to ask you what make it was and when you had it done.

So I've decided not to go for a full spray, but a light tint, using Palmers Cocoa Butter Self Tan, I love it and out of everything I have ever tried, I feel it gives the most natural looking colour and rather than smelling of biscuits it smells of cocoa! Wonderful.

Like every other tanning agent you have to prepare your skin make sure the dry areas are focused on with exfoliator and moisturised properly, or you will be cursed with the dark orangy brown patches.

Luckily tinted moisturisers with self tan provide all of this without having to worry.

No I've just got to sort out my hair, put on the dress and I will be ready for the ball!
