The Naked team visits Shinyanga
Posted: May 10, 2011 4:09 pm / By The Naked Bodycare Team

Here at Naked we love doing our bit, and so in 2010, Naked partnered with Oxfam to help support their Shinyanga Project, which is all about tackling the education and sanitation issues in one of the most deprived regions of Tanzania.
Oxfam was a perfect partner as they share our ethical values, and most of our products are around washing and bathing, so clean water is something very close to our hearts.
Through the 3 year ‘Drop of joy’ project, 10,000 people will benefit through:
· Building rainwater tanks and latrines in schools
· Building wells for the communities
· Training new teachers and mentors
· Supply materials to special needs schools
So in February this year, two of the Naked team went out to Shinyanga along with the Oxfam team to see how the project is going.

So what can you do?
We’ve made it really easy for you guys to get involved and help support the communities in Shinyanga, here are some easy ways you can help:
1. Get your hands on a Naked shopper bag- not only is it environmentally friendly and re-usable, £1 from the purchase of this bag also goes to Oxfam
2. Round to a pound! When your stocking up on all your favourite Naked goodies, round your total up to the nearest pound at the online checkout, every donation can make a difference
3. For all you blonde and curly locks out there, 25p of each Blonder and Bounce purchase goes directly to the Shinyanga project
4. Still feeling generous? Donate here www.kmiclub.com/oxfam
